Marchesa Fall 2010

I went to Marchesa Fall 2010 Fashion Show yesterday.
It was breath taking. Full of feathers, tulles, organzas...fantasy, dreams....
blood and sweats of unpaid interns......and designers too, of course.
But really, is it only me that's bored with this whole thing?
Yes, they are beautiful and grand. They are luminous. But EVERY SEASON! Marchesa's been very very "consistent." I guess it can be a good thing to stick to the basic rule- or what you are good at. Wait, let me swallow my own words. It's not boring. Anything this magnificent and pleasing possibly cannot be boring. Right? Maybe? I'm not sure what to feel now, but I know that I want to see something NEW from Marchesa. I expect more from this company.
But who am I to critique? It's Marchesa.
Enjoy the pics.

My desperate try

Yesterday I went to K town for Ceci, the ultimate Korean Fashion Magazine.

I think this is december issue...but it's the only image i can find...

Luckily I could get my hands on Febuary issue. It's usually sold out so I was kinda worried. I came home and started to devour the magazine. Unlike 'western' magazines such as, Vogue or Elle, Asian magazines are more....cute. It tells you how to massage your face, what cream to buy, extensive comparison and test results between new face lotions.....ect. I guess beauty and fashion competition is more fierce in Asia. - I know for a fact that it is SCARY FIERCE in Korea. I lived there for god's sake- Anyway, the Febuary issue contained very very useful and juicy info for me...How to do your own Face Massage! They categorized massages into 4 types; one for smaller face, one for dark circle and jowls, one for bloated face and one for texture and lifting. Facial massage oil was needed to do the massage, so I picked one that didn't require any oil or steam towel- the one for smaller face. I had to use my thumb and fist to do the massage. The book said 'press hard like you are vibratin your bone' whatever that means...so i did. Result? Bluish red aching face. Maybe I pressed to hard. I'm planning to do milder version of this everyday...hopefully my pressing thumb and strong fist will transform my face..Cross your finger!

It's coming

Valentine is coming with Chinese New year and Fashion Week.
What a celabration.
